Booking Conditions & Cancellation Policy

  • After submitting your booking form, please look in your spam/junk folder for our reply. If you haven’t heard back from us within 24 hours then please e-mail or call us as we may not have received your request. We will respond to all requests even if we are unable to offer you a table for your requested date.

  • We ask for a deposit of £40 per person payable upon booking. Deposits are refundable up to 48 hours before your booking. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit is paid. If you cancel within 48 hours of your reservation, we will do our best to resell your table and refund your deposit if we are able to do so. This may only be a partial refund in some cases. e.g. if you book a table for 6 but we can only resell it as a 4 you will get 4 x £40 refunded. If we cannot resell the table, no refund is available. Refunds are minus a £1 per person cancellation fee

  • If you want to reduce your party size at any point after your booking is confirmed (and a smaller table is not available), a cancellation charge equal to the cost of the menu for each cancelled diner will be incurred. If you choose to cancel outright, our normal 48 hour cancellation policy applies.

  • We will contact you to confirm your booking details with you 24-48 hours before your booking. If we are unable to confirm your booking with you then your table may be sold to the waiting list.

  • If you arrive with fewer guests than booked, i.e. a “no-show” then a charge equal to the cost of the menu for each absent diner will be incurred. We strongly advise you to call us beforehand to see if we are able to move you to a smaller table.

  • Please contact us if you wish to make a changes to your menu choice. This may not be possible after your booking is confirmed. Please ensure you choose the menu you want when sending the original reservation request.

  • Lake Road Kitchen is not suitable for children under 12 years of age

  • A Discretionary Service Charge of 10% is added to all bills. From January 2025, this will increase to 12.5%

  • DRESS CODE

    We have a flexible approach to dress code in the restaurant with most guests opting for smart casual. We do ask that you do not wear walking gear (no waterproof trousers please); caps or bring backpacks or other luggage into the dining room (excluding mobility devices). We do not have space to store large or wet items. Thank you.

  • Dogs are not permitted in the restaurant. Guide/assistance dogs are welcome
